About MeI am self employed and work from home. I enjoy meeting people online and also occasionally for coffee and red wine. The joy of conversation is always pleasurable - and the delight of the unexpected a part of the zest of life. As we grow older then we keep forever young by the lust for learning and communication and by the sheer intellectual and personal pleasure of those we meet. It keeps us flexible, hopefully wise and always open-minded! What a great way to live.
More About MeLocation: London, Greater London, England Occupation: Media Producer My Philosophy On Life: Would like to make contact with others who like me believe that we need to develop a new form of, humanism, that includes people of all religions and none but who embrace, humanistic values. as the basis of their actions. These are values of, global compassion, self-discovery, shared development, planetary concern, and a love of community. My Interests: My interests have always been many and varied from, reading, to walking, music, to dancing, and, theatre, to the, cinema. I enjoy, social and community, activity but I also like solitude and time to think, Travel, and different, cultures, always inspires and, good food, and, wine, is an essential part of life. I love the, power of the Internet, and the way it can bring people, communities and cultures closer together. I love, history, and, philosophy, literature, and, biographies, and I always have a deep need to understand what makes us tick as a, human race Music I Love: My four main areas of musical interest are classical music, jazz, the rock and roll era of the 1950's and the explosion of liberated music in the 1960's. TV Shows I Love: I choose television not so much as escapism but as a way of learning about the world. So I love Drama, documentaries, educational programmes and current affairs. If I admit to one area of escapism then it is Eastenders and old black and white films. Books I Love: Reading is always important and I love most books particularly the French, Russian and English classics of the 19th Century. War & Peace is my favourite novel and I love the fatalism in Thomas Hardy. I also read much contemporary fiction from Sebastial Faulkes to Ian Mckewan and have just started on the French surrealists of the inter war period. I also love to read history and philosophy and the history of religion. And books that provide commentary on our changing world are always important.
