About Me

I am a registered nurse working as a complementary therapy co-ordinator in a hospice for the last 2 years but prior to that was a specialist in reproductive medicine.
Therapy-wise I practice aromatherapy, massage and reiki.
I have 4 grown-up children, 2 grandchildren, 1 dog and 4 cats.

More About Me

Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex, England

Occupation: Complementary Therapy Co-ordinator

My Philosophy On Life: Be fully present in every moment and give thanks. Tread lightly on the earth and laugh at all absurdity.

My Interests: Tai Chi, walking, sailing, music, film, theatre, playing saxophone, my work as a therapist, travel

My Inspirations: My friends and family, my patients, Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela

Music I Love: Jazz, Paul Desmond, John Park, Bob Burns, James Taylor, Van Morrison, Kirsty MacColl, Charlie Parker, Michael Brecker, Jim Hall, Michel Petrucchiani

Movies I Love: Cinema Paradiso, The Goodbye Girl, The Turning Point, Educating Rita, Dead Poet's Society, Crossing Delancy, Strictly Ballroom, Whalerider

Places I Love: Anywhere in nature, The Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu, The Galapagos, San Francisco, London, The Lake District, Lyme Regis

Quotes I Love: Until one is committed, there is always a chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans - that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one that would not otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would come his way.

Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, magic and power in it.
Begin it now!"
GOETHE

Just remain in the centre, watching.
And then forget that you are there.

Hi Christine, I really want to learn more about aromatherapy, yoga and reiki. What is the difference between Yoga and Reiki? What got you started in Aromatherapy and Reiki?
