I cannot help but rise to the challenge. Born to have to contend with the learning disorder, dyslexia, I made a decision that if we put our minds to it then anything is possible. Now I oversee an international publishing company for the periodical Living Spirit - www.livingspirit.biz - as well as being hired to bring about peace in homes and businesses - www.conferenceinternational.org
My School Years
At the age of 10, I was chosen to speak in Christmas church readings for her Junior School based in the Cotswolds UK. I remember vividly the head mistress having me stand at one end of the school hall and demonstrate to her how easy it was to project her voice. Loving the experience, I decided to organise some theatre productions in my neighbor’s garage and became involved with school theatre.
A Presenter of Change
Being dyslexic, I recognised my weaknesses in literacy but appreciated my academic strengths in my innate understanding in chemistry, so I sought and gained a position as a laboratory technician which led me to working for the UK government in research and my training as a presenter began.
Taking every opportunity to present my findings through work in improving coal consumption in relation to ecological issues of acid rain, interests in the science of global warming and preventative measures of the potentially catastrophic outcome were pursued and a deep appreciation of mans ability to self destruct as much as a paradoxical desire to survive with a wish of success toward others was founded.
That was the era of speaking out against industry when I witnessed a new paradigm that generated the most positive change, to speak for a new concept to replace the old and to this day is the foundation of every aspect of my life accepting that a new way can be a better way if we are prepared to be accountable and change.
Trainer
During her early twenties, within my remit as a retail marketing manager, I excelled most as a trainer where I was responsible for coordinating and implementing comprehensive training programs to new recruits of every age group, capability and experience in this field.
As an encourager, my joy of seeing people grow in confidence and make a success for themselves and the companies they worked for, enabled me to appreciate how I could use this and i launched a company in domestic help and later in alternative medicine, both of which rained success through my ability to communicate new concepts in simple yet informative and interesting ways.
Lecturer
During my late twenties and early thirties, I was selected by various women’s orientated groups and local private schools to lecture in health care and the vocation as a conference leader was established when I trained in London as a TV / Radio presenter.
Media Presenter
I would describe my work for the BBC and local hospital in writing, editing and presenting radio shows as the most vibrant yet stressful training ground as a presenter in my entire life, but I am grateful for how this has generated confidence in me and brought me success.
Always keen to add to and improve my qualities as a presenter, I knew I had to improve my timing and appreciation of time and took the opportunity to audition and participate in various amateur dramatics, West End shows and became involved as a full-time member of the church choir where I first truly appreciated the importance of spirituality in my career.
Present Day
Ethos and Mission Statement
As an encourager, my ethos to assist and therefore be assisted and my desire to see people move forwards in their lives, are her underlying driving forces of the commitment I have to help in a persons healing. ‘Change - “If we appreciate the truth of dis-ease, dysfunction and lack in our lives, we regain control and the negatives are transformed into a more positive lifestyle.”’
A Note – early Feb 2007
Just recently I received the revelation that I needed healing on receiving. I saw the inability to receive to the full as a void that during the course of a week transformed and is now a diamond of light deep in my heart emanating outwards.
