More About Me

Location: San Francisco, California

Occupation: Author, Founder of Ivy Sea, Guide

My Philosophy On Life: It's so much sweeter and more graceful when we invite and invoke the power of heart, soul and spirit, and the power of connection rather than separation. As the saying goes, all of the forces in the Universe come dancing before us and rushing to the aid of a heartful vision and focused passion. And we definitely get by with a little help from our friends.

My Interests: Engaged and embodied spirituality, Divine Feminine, writing, conversation, learning, new consciousness, right livelihood, authenticity, creativity, joy, Nature, complementary and holistic wellness, my cats, my beloved and the Beloved, Five Elements, intuition, energy healing, power of the Word, mystic activism, vibrational healing, and more.

My Inspirations: Many ... Diotima, Kathleen Raines, Theresa of Avila, Bradford Keeney, regular people working unseen yet bringing love and loving-kindness into the lives of others. Fellow new-era engaged spirits and mystic activists, people who are kind and considerate even when no one is watching. Many more.

Music I Love: Some folk, some classical, some alternative, some world, some more! It depends on the mood and what the Muse or energy body needs to be fed! I have a long, long iPod play list, and get introduced to new stuff regularly.

Movies I Love: Motorcycle Diaries, Sea Biscuit, Enchanted April, Chocolat, and many others.

TV Shows I Love: Hmmmm, I don't watch much television anymore! I got hooked on Lost when I was visiting my sister, though. I like good documentaries and ancient civilization look-sees.

Books I Love: Jane Eyre, Desire, Descent to the Goddess, Alberto Villoldo's books, Andrew Harvey's books, David Whyte's work, a collection of poems called "Risking Everything", so many more.

Places I Love: France, San Francisco, New York City, anyplace where Nature is breath-taking, green places with running streams, Istanbul, Bath (U.K.), that still and graceful place we visit when we're centered (as in meditation, etc.).

Quotes I Love: "Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid." ~ Wolfgang von Goethe

"Tell me, what will you do with your one wild and precious life?" ~ Mary Oliver

"Sit down and be quiet, for you are drunk and sitting at the edge of the roof." ~ Rumi

"Anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you." ~ David Whyte

"A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world." ~ Oscar Wilde

"If you shut up truth and bury it under the ground, it will but grow, and gather to itself such explosive power that the day it bursts through it will blow up everything in its way." ~ Emile Zola
