SELF-WORTH how do you feel about yourself? I wonder sometimes how many people out there de-value themselves for all sorts of reasons. Whether it is the way they look, how they present, how they were conditioned from young, or their general circumstances. It troubles me to think that they live their paths in life undermining themselves and it is very sad. They may not fight for something they feel has an element of competition, because they believe they have no place to win. This can be in relationships, jobs, discussions….anything. I know a lot of people who have no self-worth. In my opinion, they are such valued human beings in their own way, but they are too scared to go forward. You have to love yourself if you want approval from others. If that is difficult then you have to work at it. One of the most simplest ways is to tell yourself 200 times a day, every day, ‘I love and approve of myself.’ As an affirmation, it is damned powerful. It is a very positive energy that clocks into the subconscious mind and energies shift fast. It works. I was the most shyest child in the whole world. If anyone spoke to me I just wished I could disappear. You would never believe this if you knew me now!!! If anyone reads this that thinks they are beneath anyone else, for whatever reason, well….they are not. Ann xx Last edited: 20-11-2007 08:24:21 PM

From my experience, the programing you receive in the first 6 years of life is what you do. The reprogramming of the sub-conscious is the key. Quote |

Hi Jon, Yes, you are right about those first tender six years. I remember reading in the Lobsang Rampa books that the subconscious mind is 9/10 more powerful than the conscious mind which is l/10. Maybe a lot of people would disagree with that, but he used to make reference to it often. Ann x Quote |

Ann x I disagree totally with that assertion.... the subconscious mind is thousands of times more powerful if not more. We can consciously think of between5-9 things on average concurrently, anymore and we'd get severe brain ache. The subconscious mind regulates your beathing, your core temperature, cirsulation, your heart beating, diaghram movements, digestion, growth of everysingle hair on your body, and thousands of other thing includin ghow frequently you blink. AT this point anyone reading this will become conscious of blinking until you forget again.... And that is just the physical side of thing! As for programming, 85-90 of our daily behaviour is repeating previous patterns/habits i.e. climbing stairs always leading with a certain foot, holding the kettle in one particular hand, same leg into your trousers EVERY day and so on. As Jon rightly pointed out, dealing with a pattern of beehaviour that has been repeated so often it become habitual, is key. I absolutely love the affirmations, they don;t just affect your mind and self worth but also has a massive positive physiological response instantly. I do recommend it to some my clients as a method of self help, thats cheap and easy. Its all in the mind.......if you think about it. Last edited: 21-11-2007 11:27:10 PM

I have to say here, that the first 7 years of your life are, what we call, your primary reference period. That first 7 years is from conception not birth. Everything that happens to you in the first 7 years is a primary reference. That means that everything that happens after the first 7 years is a secondary reference, meaning, your sub-conscious mind associates what IS happening with what HAS happened. To quantify the sub-conscious over the conscious or vice versa is, IMHO wrong, they both have their place. We do live approx 90 to 95 % of our lives in the sub-conscious. Heartbeat, digestion, hormones, fight/flight etc, actually live in our LIMBIC brain, which is not the SC or the C. Quote |

Hi Asef, Yes, that's very interesting. I was age 14 when I read all of the 13 Lobsang Rampa books, but for some reason 1/10th and 9/ths seems to stick with me. I would love to know exactly what he did say, bar reading them all again! I do agree Jon, it's from conception rather than from birth. Ann x Quote |

Yes, the first 6/7 years of life correspond to the root chakra. and learning to stand up for yourself. The goals are security, stability & grounding. Unfortunately, so many people have had this security pulled from under them by uncaring or unthinking parents, or other significant carers that they spend a lifetime trying to find it. Quote |

I think of our early conditioning as the 'hardwiring' - which is laid down whilst in the womb ( may be passed down from parents) and in the first few years of life - Usually when I work with someone with HK these are where issues stem from and which have priority- when released they can have really profound effects on behaviour. I always find it really facinating........ Affirmations then might only take a short time for the 'reprogramming' as the stress around the issue has been lifted. This is the way it works for my clients anyway... J Quote |

Jayne, this is very similar to the 3 in 1 Concepts Kinesiology, I believe Jimmy Scott spent some time with Gordon Stokes and Daniel Whiteside, so it may be they came up with similar stuff. Ann, the LIMBIC brain or system, is our survival system, Its not short for anything. All living creatures have one, to some extent. We have no control over our limbic brain, eg, try holding your breath for 45 mins, or ask yourself the question, do you decide to feel hungry or do you just feel hungry. Stress of any sort activates the limbic brain into fight/flight. This is called survival. When we go into survival mode we are in reaction status and a number of biological things happen. While ever we are in survival mode, our whole system is directed towards survival. This was necessary in early man, and we evolved with this system still in tact. Trouble is, in early man, stress was attack, either by animals or other groups of humans. Today there are so many more stresses, but our limbic brain still puts us in f/f at the first sign of stress. The key to health is to be able to turn off the f/f so we can actualy heal ourselves. When in f/f, our digestive and reproductive system don't function fully. Quote |

Jon you've got me on the brain!! It was Kerri-RaLuna that had asked that question - I already knew all that! (not really) I have really learnt something from you on the limbic brain Jon and will learn it up a bit more. I think what you are doing Jayne is fantastic! Asif - the baby thing I really love. Your son must have really benefited from such an early beginning with you. Ann X Last edited: 22-11-2007 07:03:44 PM

Hi Jon & thanx! I had heard abit on the survival reflex but had no idea what the official term was. Does anyone else remember the series of programmes that were done (BBC?) on that group of 7 year olds, then again when they were 14 & 21. I didn't get to see the whole series but the concept was interesting.

Sorry Ann, I must still be mesmerised by your dancing. Every cell in our body changes within every 7 years, so that means 6 years 3 months, 13 years 3 months etc. Survival mode.......yup thats where most people live, unless they have been to me, of course. Mind you, there are others that do the same work, so, maybe them as well. Quote |

Jon, When you think how complex the limbic brain is and the four parts, it makes me wonder how some people can play about with it by taking LSD. We were born with this amazing brain that functions as it does, and yet it seems there are people that want to mess it up. I remember that programme also, Kerri and watched every episode every 7 years - SO interesting, and a bit sad too. Ann x Quote |

The LIMBIC has 4 parts........wow Anne, you have done your research. LSD, P, or whatever, they are all mind altering drugs. I will not work with people who have been on H or the rest. Something is very wrong with people who need stimulants to get by. Quote |

Just curious why you wouldn't work with them Jon - even if they're not using anymore? Surely Kinesiology is one of the best Therapies for addiction though? Maybe they would benefit from seeing you just as much as your other clients have done.....? J Quote |

Jayne, because my diary is soo full, and because most of these people need close together appointments and usually quite a few, it is almost impossible. Mind you, it is not a criteria in my questions, I just explain that sometimes the treatments need to be only a few days apart, and with my diary, thats almost impossible. I do the same with vaccinated kids, for the same reason. Its not judgemental, its practicle. Quote |
