| This is a really interesting article, thanks Jayne, and is helping me sort out this question “When is a vision a prophetic message? Or is it a replay of desires and fears?” I was fed a diet of the lives of Catholic Saints as a young child. One story I remember was of a priest you had visions of the devil; so intense where these experiences that the priest's prayer book was marked by a burn mark. Of course, one hopefully throws this stuff away as one forms their own beliefs and realises the devil thingy is only a personification for negativity. BUT - there is a devil if you want to believe in the devil! (The story of the priest is an example of fear creating a manifestation. Also, “The 20th century saw one of the most famous stigmatics, Padre Pio of Italy, who bore the bleeding wounds of Christ’s crucifixion for decades and has since been declared a saint by the Roman Catholic Church. The phenomena was even more pronounced with the sigmatic Therese Neumann.) www.theparanormalreport.com/the-stigmata.html These phenomena are obviously a level created out of thought, because the bleeding wounds appear in the palms of the hands and historians and researchers now know that the palms could not have help the weight and the nails would have gone through the wrists. This is the 'magical dimension' I was referring to from where things can manifest; it’s obviously a level – and what are dimensions anyway but levels of consciousness! It is, as the William Bloom article points out that ‘In the Hindu scriptures these occult skills are called 'siddis'. There are higher siddhis and lower siddhis. The lower ones are to do with clairvoyance, psychism and the manipulation of energy. The higher ones are to do with expansions of consciousness, discernment and the ability, for example, to blend with new dimensions.’ I would definitely not brand all clairvoyance and psychism in the lower siddhis – everything is levels, and in my opinion, there are levels to these gifts.
