Senate Bill 654 would ban an incontrovertibly proven neurotoxin and carcinogen, the artificial sweetener Aspartame, which is metabolized as several toxins, particularly methanol which is then assimilated as formaldehyde. This product should never have been approved by the FDA, and to the FDA’s credit, approval was turned down from 1966 to 1981, when the approval process was usurped by the President of G.D. Searle at that time, Donald Rumsfeld. He got his own crony, Dr. Arthur Hull Hayes, appointed by President Reagan as FDA Commissioner and within a few days, the 16 years of FDA refusal to approve aspartame/methanol/formaldehyde was overturned, and approval was granted.

Hopefully, it will pass.

And not before time too!!

That stuff would bring me out in large fiery boils, goodness knows what it was doing to my insides.

Evil stuff.

Artificial sweeteners are apparently one of the prominent substances to produce a strong negative response in Kinesiologistic (is that a word?) muscle testing. I'm reading about it right now in a book called "Power vs Force" by Hawkins... really amazing what the body and soul know... that our conscious minds can't very well tap into, yet....

IE - when an envelope containing artificial sweetners is placed over the solar plexus and the subject resists downward pressue (holding his arm out), he goes weak... but when the envelope is empty, he stays strong. Many other examples, this one is key though, I've been learning about it lately.

Does anyone have any personal insights into Kinesiology / muscle testing, as researched and expounded upon by Goodheart, Hawkins and others?

cheers :)

I'm going to do a kinesiology course next weekend - something I've been waiting to do for ages. It will be a great addition to my collection of 'tools'!

I'll try the body's response to Splenda - an artificial sweetener available in Australia derived from sugar.

Unless anyone already has?

I wonder if it got passed. I was eating loads of low fat yoghurt in one of my periodic want to lose weight phases.
I found them quite addicitve..wonder if this was the aspartame.

I have now weaned myself off them and am careful to read the pots of any other yoghurts etc b4 they go in my basket

Won't it be good news if Mexico ban that toxic stuff! interesting, in a country so close the the US...I am sure all sweeteners are suspect, tho xylitol has some health benefits and I wonder about sorbitol and manitol?
I wonder about our insatiable desire for sweetness. (Perhaps Carl might write something on this one day?) The real answer is not in the choice between sugar or sweeteners, or which sweetener; it must lie in why we want that taste all the time. I know it is natural to like sweet, it would have helped our stoneage not-very-long-ago ancestors tell when fruit was ripe and maximally nutritious. And I believe chinese medicine says its normal for children to want sweets, as they are yang (growing) and sugar is yin. And I know so many of us lack 'sweetness' in our lives, so maybe that's it.
Any thoughts on this? I am going to post it as a separate thread, so you might prefer to put any replies there, and keep this one for aspartame.
