A friend told me today that you are able to increase the size of your boobs through hypnosis! (Naming no names!) I find this facinating! Although I wasn't sure if he was winding me up or not! He assured me this is true, being a qualifed Hypnotherapy practioner - I decided to trust him - we'll see though!

If this is true, then surely you could do pretty much do ANYTHING using hypnotherapy?

Yes,

I did say that! And I'm glad to be one of your friends.

Hypnosis goes under many guises, call it the placebo effect, faith or simply the power of the mind. You can "augment" the breat enlargement process through the power of your mind, just like you can heal "terminal" cancer (do not like that phrase, the only thing terminal is the belief). My own father had cancer, he died from Jaundice from the chemotherapy and not the hodgkins lymphoma as he was diagnosed with.
(disclaimer - my beliefs are based on my life experience and results from the help I have given, not based on what modern western medical science has to offer in terms of bad news)

I have worked with many people diagnosed with cancer, and have had astounding results. I'm not a miracle worker by any means, I just allow the process of healing to happen at an accelerated rate, it's the patient who does the self-healing. Compared to living a year past the "you've got one month to live" message from the consultant who does not undertsand the power of suggestion, breast augmentation is a doddle.

Any good, qualified hypnoTHERAPIST will be able to help you or anyone else.

There are NO LIMITATIONS to what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

That's a fairly dangerous assertion.

I too am a qualified hypnotherapist and Master of NLP.

I find that, in application, NLP can be fundamentally flawed when it takes this approach.

Hypnotherapy is, in a way, a form of trickery that requires the body to catch up.

So, if you are looking to 'grow' your breasts, no amount of auto-suggestion will cause them to grow 'like magic'.

What may happen, in fact, is that your breasts grow as a result of a change in diet or lifestyle, the resolution of a pattern of illness, perhaps even a pregnancy.

The approach of 'as i think, so it is' is mechanistic - that is, based upon a simple model of cause and effect.

As i mentioned in another post [this one in regards to 'the secret'] the idea of cause and effect is too simplistic to address life in all its complex, contradictory and chaotic magnificence.

it is a model that we use nowadays as part of a strategy of 'getting what we want'.

if hypnotherapy could help you to achieve ANYTHING, i am sure there are plenty of amputees out there who would be happy to organise a few sessions for limb replacement.

How so? Please expand

Not sure what you are implying, as you are undoubtedly aware, hypnotherapy utilises the natural human state of hypnosis which we all experience many times every day. Modern western lifestyle does not facilitate the use of this regularly nowadays. Which is why it is viewed by sections of the population with suspicion and trepidation. They would view it as "trickery" as well, but clever use of the word Cam!

As humans can we do anything else apart from think and understand by chunking them down to managable ideas and concepts? Is that not the way we have evolved upto now? I agree with you that lif is magnificent and we must learn to accept it as it is, however, the desire for knowledge and learning will never go away regardless of
what the subject matter is, including life itself.

Within reason, you know that! Taking a sentence to the extreme is great for stimulating debate. Well done.

There's the rub. You may get bigger boobs with such methods, but the question is HOW you will get them. I can verify that getting pregnant will get you bigger boobs, as will gaining weight, as will hormone imbalances. If you simply call for bigger boobs, you may indeed attract that outcome with a few other surprises. Be careful what you wish for!!!! (said from hard experience)

Then, there is also the issue of where this wish comes from. If it originates from a sense of lack ("my boobs aren't big enough") then you may also attract more lack into your life by focusing on your "inadequate" boobs. Such wishes might also reinforce unhealthy and superficial standards of beauty.

Finally, as I am *ahem* well endowed in that category, I can also say that "big boobs" aren't all that special. They get in the way when you run, it's hard finding bras which fit and have adequate support.... Again, be careful what you ask for :) I'm not complaining, as they performed the job they were designed to very well: They gave my kids a great start on life.
