I just found this

Organ Donation Now Mandatory in the UK Under Horrifying "Presumed Consent" Law
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
Don't die in the U.K. If you do, state health authorities will start slicing and dicing your body, harvesting organs even as your heart is still beating in order to make money on highly-lucrative organ transplant surgeries (and anti-rejection drugs).

It's all part of the UK's new "presumed consent" law which says the very act of dying serves as your consent to have your organs stolen from your body. In other words, the State owns your body!

As you ponder the horrors of this situation, keep in mind that conventional medical doctors are also pushing to alter the definition of death to harvest organs earlier. Instead of waiting for you to be brain dead, they can start harvesting your organs within seconds after your heart stops beating, even though your brain may be fully conscious at the time!

Welcome to the true horrors of conventional medicine. It's not about saving lives, folks: It's about making money off the bodies of the recently expired. These transplant doctors and health authorities are true monsters, and if anyone deserved to have their chest cavity cracked opened while they're still conscious and alive, it would no doubt be them.

That actually makes me feel a bit ill.

I knew that democracy in this country was a joke, but I never presumed it could sink to this!

Any tips from our international members??

Utopia is easy to find Anna, just look on any world map for a little country called New Zealand.

Hmm...let's see now...

Our 'Health Ranger' has grossly exaggerated this headline, if not downright told an untruth! (I believe they call this 'misspeak' in the US, from whence he hails.) It is NOT mandatory in the UK. If you follow the link to the Telegraph that Jon gives, you'll find a much more balanced view.

I for one, if this came into law, would opt out immediately. People seem to think it's their god-given right to be provided with new organs when the ones they have personally mistreated go tits up. They do not. IMHO.

As far as I'm aware the bill recently failed to pass parliament........I'm undecided on this though as if it did become the norm you can 'opt out' ( although I would be suspicious of how watertight this would be in reality)

Also years ago I remember seeing a documentary where there were many grey areas as to if someone is actually dead or not - as brain function can come back.

The stuff of nightmares!!

Can't we just wear a big dogtag that says 'if found, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE TO A HOSPITAL!!'?

I'd rather die in my bed from my injuries (illness? moi?) than risk watching them pinch my kidneys.

Jon,

Everybody says NZ is the DBs. Is it really that good, or do you guys just enjoy being zillions of miles away from everybody else?
Could be a good move!
