hi im new to holistic local , i ve just been granted planning permission to build on my garage and work from home but im a bit lost on how to get started im going to be hairdressing with the intention to move into the holistic side aswell im very interested in reiki,crystals,the enviroment and my well being ! what s the best way to get into this and is there ways i can introduce a calm and spiritual feel to this new build like using certain crystals ? in hairdressing i listen to a lot of people s problems they off load on me i need some way of protecting myself too.thanks.

The best way to expand into other therapies is to first of all decide which one you feel moved to begin with. I'm a Reiki Master and Crystal Therapist and offer Reiki Attunements, although I'm based in Sussex it may be prohibitive for you but I'm sure you can find a teacher more local. It is best to speak to several Reiki Masters and go with your instinct as to who feels right for you. Also, be cautious about those that offer Reiki I & II training quickly or together - it takes time for your body and emotions to adjust to the energy and you could potentially overload your system if you train too quickly. In terms of introducing a calm and spiritual feel to your new room with crystals, both Rose Quartz or Amethyst are wonderful for imbueing a sense of peace and love. You could use either several small pieces or larger feature clusters or geodes. Many people aren't aware of how to work, maintain or program crystals and I'd be happy to have a brief chat with you. I am also planning to run a crystal workshop later in the year which includes ways of protecting yourself from others energies, so this may be of interest to you.
