When you think of the broad prescription of antibiotics, Amoxicillin to name but one of them. I was curious to know what the capsules comprised of, so I asked a friend who was on them to let me see the information leaflet.

I imagine that a lot of people don’t really look at that, but just take the drug. I thought it was interesting to note the following ingredients of an antibiotic.

Magnesium Stearate (E572)
Colloidal Anhydrous Silica,
Titanium Dioxide (E171)
Iron Oxides (E172)
Erythrosine (E127)
Indigotine (E132)
Methyl Paraben (E218)
Propyl Paraben (E216)
Gelatin
Shellac
Isopropyl Alcohol
Industrial Methalated Spirits
N-Butyl alcohol
Antifoam DC 1510
Black Iron Oxide (E172)
Propolene Glycol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Strong Ammonia Solution
Potassium Hydroxide
Dehydrated Alcohol

That’s a fair old whack I think! Give me Phosphoros 30 homoeopathic remedy any day!!

Ann :)x

Thanks for posting this Ann, I've never thought to look before. There is some really good stuff in here, Propolene Glycol, why on earth would anyone put that stuff in a medication, and why would anyone ingest it.
Antibiotics are fast becoming the scourge of mankind, something like 98% of all antibiotics are prescribed needlessly. Give me good old colloidal silver and or grapefruitseed extract.

Hi Jon,

Yes, when people think they are on antibiotics, they expect they are just taking an antibiotic - not all that lot too!

I agree colloidal silver and grapefruit seed extract are great alternatives and depending on what the condition is, phosphorous 30 I rate as an equivalent antibiotic.

Hi Ann! Great post. I cannot take antibiotics anyway as they make me very ill. I normally just ride it out with lots of garlic and lemon etc. but I will take a look at what you suggested here! Thanks!

OK, thanks Ann, I'll make up some phosphorus 30 as well as the C/S and GFSE.

Re Colloidal Silver.
I am not really up on all these natural alternatives, even though I do use them and never take an antibiotic but I did read where you can’t ingest Colloidal Silver in unlimited so-called safe doses as presumed, as it does, being a natural antibiotic, destroy the healthy bacteria in the gut.
I’m open to be challenged on this. It is not my forte.

I had not heard that Suzanne - I can't imagine that would be the case, but maybe Jon knows something?

Yes, always a good idea to have lots of ammunition behind you like all of them together, the CS, GSE and of course garlic Debbie!

Phos. 30 is particularly effective for chest infections/bronchitis together with a good diet and vitamin/mineral suplements, (zinc in particular), cystitis (if cantharis is not enough), and kidney infections.

Ann :) xx

Suzanne, you can take 10ml of CS 2 x day for as long as you like. It keeps the balance of the gut flora. For every good theory out there, there are always nay sayers, don't worry about them. CS made with distilled water to 10 ppm is actually quite good for you in small quantities. I have a number of clients who do this, some for over 2 years, they have never felt better.

Hia
I read somewhere that colloidal silver can make you turn a funny blue colour ... is this true. Also, does anyone know if CS can be inhaled. This would easily kill off any bacterial infection in the lungs and silver cannot be mutated so there would be no risk of the body becoming imune to it.

CS can make you turn blue if you don't use distilled pure water, there is generally no danger if you know the type of water used to make the CS.
CS can be use in an inhaler, for both viral and bacterial infections, and in fact, should be.
