Would like to extend well wishes to everyone here from Patrick Patten
at FireBird. Although I was trained, and worked at medical laboratory
research for a dozen years, something about the politics, money, and
alienation of the patient, just did not seem to fit the "make a
difference" concept that I attended school for, in the first place. When
a friend, who was also a MD from England, decided that conventional
medicine was not enough, and attended the Staford University's School of
Natural Healing, it opened a whole new world to what "medicine" was
truely meant to be. This is when I discovered, in the 70's, that this is
indeed, a daily process of living, not masking or delaying health
issues, but preventing those issues to begin with, and living in an
environment that sustained a quick and natural recovery when issues were
not preventable. Here is a place where these issues can finally come together for all to
enjoy. For it is every aspect of our lives... physically, mentally,
spiritually, sexually, emotionally, environmentally.. that produce the
seed of what we are, what we will become. I am happy to be here. I am
