For the last couple of days, I've had this really really bad taste in my mouth - all the time. Disgusting!

Tonight I started to think I must really have something wrong with my stomach, so I started to google.

To my astonishment, I discovered that eating pine nuts produces this foul taste - it can take from one to four days for it to start - and I have recently been eating them by the fistful!! Wow! So beware - they're great to eat but the aftermath is bleh!! I have eaten so many that I don't know when this taste will begin to go away.

I don't eat very many but occasionally toast a few to toss over a salad.

I wonder if this is anything to do with the melamine scare, where melamine has now been found in Chinese eggs, sweets, and the latest - body paint from Adult sex shops. I did read where melamine is created inside mamals and plants from a chemical reaction from an insecticide - crys... - something, which is commonly used. Sorry but I can't remember the name.

P.S.Ooops - it was not an insecticide but the some chemical in the fertiliser they use.
