Hi everyone! I wasn't sure where to post this and not sure if it has been talked about before. I have been reading much about holistic/mercury free dentists and am a little confused about it all. In my regular dentists, I have been given before the white fillings. Are these safe? (I only have one silver now) My husbands on the other hand always gets the silver (amalgam) ones at the same practise, different dentist. I have read that if you have a sensitivity to mercury then you should get them removed from a 'mercury free dentist' who will make sure that the filling does not powder and you don't swallow etc. I don't think I have a sensitivity to mercury but I am a very allergic/sensitive person and I don't like the thought of something potentially harmful in your mouth.
