This First Degree Certification class is taught by Usui Reiki Shihan Terry Rogers, who has been teaching since 1997. Terry's lineage is through Reiki Alliance member Barbi Lazonby, who studied with Virginia Samdahl, Mrs. Takata's first master student. He has also studied through the Shihan (Master/teacher) level with Threshold Reiki Shihan Rick Rivard of Vancouver, Canada.
This class follows the teachings of Reiki as brought to the West by Mrs. Takata, along with an introduction to earlier traditional Japanese practices from the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai in Japan.
All class participants will receive a certificate, a 100+ page manual on CD and a vegetarian lunch. Class time includes lecture and hands-on practice with other classmates.
If possible, Terry encourages all students to schedule a full one hour Reiki session with him prior to the class. This is not a requirement but is a valuable experience before coming to the class.
