Tarot is a system of divination that is over 500 years old. Over the centuries they have been used to predict the future, to gain insight into people and situations, and to reveal the path to personal growth and enlightenment. Each card displays esoteric knowledge and life concepts that assist in guiding the reader to understand the nature of the situation or person at hand. There are thousands of tarot decks that depict various themes, cultures, periods, and art to reflect the concepts readers use to guide their clients. The pictures on the cards reflect specific meaning and symbolism, but this is not the only way for a tarot reader to acquire information. The images trigger intuitive messages that are beyond the basic card meanings.
The focus of this course is to give students a basic knowledge of the 78 card system and to guide them toward the ability to look beyond the card meanings and open to additional information that may present itself during a reading.
Intuitive Tarot Reading is suitable for beginners who seek to gain an understanding of the Tarot cards. The course teaches a technique that allows the student to open to intuitive messages during the reading. Practical information and hands-on practice are provided. Discussion throughout the course is encouraged, with the intent of discovering aspects of the self that will enhance the student's ability to read the cards. Students will be able to do basic readings for themselves and others by the end of the four-hour course. Much of tarot reading is cultivating the confidence to trust the information that comes through intuition and ways to do that are discussed throughout the course.
No prior experience necessary. Required materials include a standard Tarot deck. Suggestions for decks are: Rider Waite, Universal Waite, Aquarian Tarot, Morgan-Greer Tarot, Hanson-Roberts Tarot, The Gilded Tarot. For information on the instructor, Diane Wing, go to www.ForestWitch.com
