Michelle has been involved in energy work since Reiki saved her life in 1996. With 30 + years in the pet industry, Michelle retired from grooming after attaining Certified Master Groomer status, and running her fully staffed salon for 20 years. She has been teaching Reiki full time since 1999, Integrated Energy Therapy since 2002 - and opened The Heart to Heart Healing Connection in February 2005.
She teaches all levels of Reiki (Usui) as well as Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Levels of Integrated Energy Therapy. She offers a workshop in The Healing Angels of the Energy Field, Reiki and IET for kids and IET for pets.
In an effort to bring self-empowerment to as many people as possible, Michelle has recently begun traveling to teach. She feels we are a world in need of healing; all healing is really SELF healing and the time for 'blaming' others is over. We must take responsibility for ourselves NOW. She has found the best way to do it is to learn gentle, self-healing techniques; there are no gentler than Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy in her opinion. Her own experience has shown that having the ability to heal herself has given her a great sense of self-empowerment.
While she believes there is a place for Western medical practices in every life, self-healing techniques are a must in today's world. This she feels is true for adults as well as children - perhaps even more so for today's youth. With the increased diagnoses of ADD and ADHD, bi-polar and a host of other energy related dis-eases, the children of today truly need to know how to harness their wonderful God given talents and energy.
In addition to her teaching schedule, Michelle maintains a private practice seeing clients. She uses a combination of Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, Essential Oils, Flower and Vibrational Essences as well as the "voice of spirit" in her healing sessions. The most important aspect of this work to her is her ability to step into a space of Love without Condition - and simply hold that energy while allowing the healing techniques she applies to do the work. Love is the greatest healer - so, no matter what techniques a healing advocate uses, as long as there is love, healing happens.
She is a hospice volunteer and teaches Reiki to inmates in a local correctional facility (also a volunteer ministry). She has recently taken on a radio show: "It's All About Healing which airs every Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. (EST). It can be heard on line (with high speed internet) via: www.realoldies1250.com and by downloading Real Media Player.
Michelle welcomes questions and comments via e-mail about the show and is always looking for guests (and sponsors) who are involved in the healing arts. One needn't be professionally working in them; using them for personal empowerment is the only requirement! :)
