We have been handmaking soaps out of our kitchen since 1998. Since that time, we moved into our "soap shack" in which we could focus more on the business and have a bigger facility in which to make our products!

I'm often asked "How did you get started making soaps?"

My answer usually starts with, "Well, my husband said I could stay home when we found out we were pregnant!"   Being that I was able to stay home with my daughter for whom my company is named after, I was also able to do a lot of research on why commercial soaps bothered my skin leaving it dry, itchy and flaky.  Lo and behold, after reading about all the chemicals I was putting on my body from commercial soaps, I knew I could do something about that! I then began my research into making soaps for myself.

I have perfected my recipe in my soaps by using only the highest quality ingredients including: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil,  Palm Oil, Castor Oil, Mango Butter, Shea Butter, Palm Kernel Oil, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and Apricot Oil.  In some of my Essential Oil soaps, I've added extra oils such as Kukui Nut, Camellia Oil, Meadowfoam Oil, Evening Primrose and many other types of oils and butters  that make a great bar that lathers well and has been known to leave your skin soft and silky.

As with the same care and perfection I take in making my soaps, the same goes with the rest of my luxurious products! Each of my unique items are made from scratch with original recipes. I gave a lot of thought as to what each ingredient had to offer and made sure that only the best would be used.  Many guinea, er, friends and family were "tested" before any of my toiletries appeared in public!  I'm sure once you have looked around you'll be just as excited to try them yourself!

Yes, we know handmade soaps can be a little more expensive than what you can purchase in bulk at the grocery store, but when you consider what goes into our Handmade Bars of Soap or Bath Products, you will realize that you are getting all natural ingredients made by hand with the utmost personal care and not mass produced.
The old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Even if you don't try our handmade luxuries, do try them somewhere and feel the difference! But, we know once you have tried After The Rayne, you will be hard pressed to find others that are better than ours!

Although we won't divulge our family secret, our soaps and bath items are made with the finest oils from around the world. We take the luxurious Oil of Palm which can come from the South Sea Islands. Then from the Olive trees of Spain, we add pure Grade A Olive Oil. Next we use Coconut Oil and Mango Butter which can be found in eastern India. From the African Karite tree in Ghana, we get our luscious unrefined Shea Butter. The forests of South America produce the rich, delightfully, naturally scented Cocoa Butter and in sunny Spain you will find Sweet Almond and Apricot Kernel Oils.

We mix all of these ingredients with tender loving care using our secret formula. That is why when you use our After The Rayne products your skin feels luxurious, smooth and fragrant.
