Ready To Pull Your Hair Out?

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008 3:29 AM

I know the feeling... Things just aren't lining up the way you want them to. TheyFrustration aren't falling into place as you had hoped. Or maybe it's not happening fast enough. I am sure we all experience this from time to time. So what should you do?

The first thing I do is to change my mindset. When I feel myself getting frustrated or when I start to feel the anticipation coming on, I find it is best to stop and remember that my agenda is not always the best agenda. Everything happens for a reason and the Universe has a perfect schedule in mind even if it doesn't always feel that way to us.

Sometimes it is necessary to just stop the frustration, or the anticipation, or whatever you would describe the feeling as, and look at the bigger picture. When we try to force things to happen according to what we want and our schedules, we are missing the full picture. The Universe holds more knowledge than we can ever imagine from our own limited point of view. Sometimes we just need to surrender, let go, and know that all is as it should be. When the time is right, it will happen, and if it doesn't than that is also right. That is not an easy thing to accept oftentimes, however when you do embrace that thought, you will experience a sense of peace.

When I change my mindset and allow in that belief that all is as it should be and that the Universe knows what is best, I immediately am able to release the tightness in my body and let go of the stress. Doing so also allows you to get in a flow with life so that you are no longer fighting an uphill battle, and instead you are flowing with the beautiful stream of life. For more information about getting in the flow, you can also sign up for one of my free teleclasses called Get In The Flow. Just go to: www.FaithsTeleclasses.com for more info.

5 Tips For Stressed-Out Moms

Friday, May 9th, 2008 3:05 AM

Being a mom certainly comes with its stresses, so this Mother's Day, make sure you take care of you! As mothers, we often tryStressed Mom to be "Super Moms." We give and give and do and do, and sometimes we wonder when someone will give to or do for us. This mother's day, continue to give and do, but this time, give to and do for yourself. Remember to nurture yourself so that you can be all that you have to be for those little ones who need you so much. Here are some tips to help manage your stress:

1)  Tell yourself that motherhood is all about the journey. It is an uphill battle when you push against the natural flow of life and motherhood. Stop, take a deep breath, relax your shoulders and jaw (the 2 places where most stress is held), and just “allow.” You will then find the stress dissolving. Be in the present moment with your kids and remember that this moment is all you really have. This can help put things into perspective when you are ready to fly off the handle.

2)  Ask yourself, “Would this matter if I were to die in five minutes?” That may seem
harsh, but it helps put things in perspective. Stress can be managed by controlling your thoughts, so the more you ask yourself thought-provoking questions like these, the more you will be able to see what really matters. When you are thinking in terms of what really matters, you will naturally let the stress go.

3)  Focus on solutions, not problems. Did you ever notice that when you focus on the problems, you dig yourself deeper into overwhelm and frustration? On the other hand, when you focus on creating solutions, the problem will rectify itself much easier. This also sets a very good example for your kids in handling problems that come up in their lives because they will learn to not just get lost in the problem and to come up with solutions that will easily solve their problems before those problems stress them out.

4)  Know your limit. Take some time beforehand to determine your breaking
point. Instead of being caught off-guard when high levels of stress hit, develop a plan to reverse that path beforehand. That way, when you feel stress coming, you can bring yourself back to center before your world crashes around you.

5)  Give yourself some extra padding. You have a better foundation to live from when you are well rested and cared for and you will naturally handle stress with more ease. Make it a habit to take time to nurture and care for yourself. You can only care for those little ones when you are well-cared for yourself! This is so important!

How To Attract The Things You Want

Thursday, April 24th, 2008 4:24 AM

You probably know about the law of attraction, right? And I am sure you haveFeeling Good wondered why negative things sometimes happen to you. You probably wonder, "did I attract that?" Sometimes, it gets so frustrating trying to use the law of attraction because it can often feel like it doesn't work. There is one main reason for that:

Thinking positive thoughts does not activate the law of attraction; feeling the way you want to feel does. In other words, you cannot just focus on thinking positively and then feel badly about a situation at the same time if you want to attract positive things to you. Our feelings have much more magnetic force than any thoughts we can ever have, so if you feel unhappy with a situation in your life, you will attract more "bad stuff" to you. This can seem daunting at times and you must be wondering how it is even possible to feel positive about something you are unhappy about. It's not always easy, but it is very possible.

Start by checking yourself. Check your alignment with good feelings. Throughout your day, ask yourself, "How am I feeling right now?" That question actually translates into "What am I attracting at this moment?" and that is why it is so powerful to ask. By asking yourself how you are feeling, you are essentially peering into the future and seeing the feelings you will be attracting to yourself. So ask yourself that question often and then when you discover that you aren't aligned with positive feelings, do whatever you need to do to get back in alignment.

Life is a constant realignment. Balance is a complete myth. Our lives will always teeter back and forth, and so relaigning ourselves is very important. Don't feel badly because you are out of alignment. Just do what you need to do to get realigned as soon as possible. Do what makes you feel good. Repeat an affirmation or a mantra that will get you feeling positively again, Take a step outside. Take a deep breath.

Sometimes when we are in a "bad" mood, we don't even want to get out of it. I know, I've been there. There are plenty of times when we feel miserable and we like to wallow in it. If that happens, just let yourself wallow in it, but then get the heck out of it. Don't linger there. The longer you stay in a negative mood, the more unpleasant things you will be attracting to yourself.

The key is to always do what makes you feel good. Sure, there are plenty of times when we need to do things that we don't want to do. In those cases, find a way to make them more enjoyable. Bring an iPod into the kitchen and sing while you are doing dishes, for example. The rest of the time, when you don't have to be doing something, do something you enjoy. The happier you are and the more you enjoy yourself, the more wonderful things you will manifest in your life. The way you feel is the indicator, so choose your feelings wisely.

Why Control Doesn't Work

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 3:36 AM

The human race is usually so consumed with trying to gain control over our lives that what happens is that we are blocking flow. We end up controlling our lives in negative ways because we have closed off the Universal flow. We only hold within us a limited amount of knowledge, but when we open up to Universal knowledge, our lives become easier. This is because when we are working from our limitedControlling minds and trying to control our lives with these limited minds, we encounter many hardships because we don’t really know how to proceed. We then move through life having to constantly learn from our mistakes because without infinite knowledge, we will of course need to gain more knowledge in order to accomplish our goals.

When you trust, you open yourself up and you allow the Universe to lead you along the right path by letting control go. It’s not an easy thing for most of us to wrap our heads around, however, because we feel that letting go of that control will mean our lives might go spiraling out of control. The opposite is actually true however.

Here’s an example of controlling your life in negative ways. Do you know of someone in your life who has decided that happiness isn’t in the cards for them so they’ve just given up and resigned themselves to an unhappy life. Perhaps they are unhappy in their job but the thoughts of leaving it seems too scary so they just keep on enduring. Having that mindset cancels out all possibilities. How can there be possibilities when there is such an unwillingness to allow them to come into your life? They are being blocked off. You are only controlling your life in a negative way.

Or maybe you know someone who is bound and determined to accomplish something and they just keep struggling because it never seems to happen. I am by no means saying that you should not have goals and strive to achieve things that you want. Of course you should. But the biggest thing you need to do is trust. Give up the control. That person struggling to achieve something so hard may be striving so hard because she is trying to do it in one certain way and that’s the only way she sees. She is not open. She’s trying to pound a square peg into a round hole and the Universe is saying, “no wait, here’s a round one.” And she’s saying, “No thanks, I’m gonna make this one work, damn it!” You see, you must remain open. When you do, you will have gotten in the flow of life and things will come to you with ease.

When you learn to release the control so that you can allow in possibilities and transformation, you will find that new opportunities come your way and new ideas and people come into your life who can help you. All these wonderful things come to you because you’ve opened a door instead of shutting it and saying “oh well, this is my life.”

Remember, it might not work your way, but your way might not be the best way for you. Be open to other ways.

The Judgment Epidemic

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 2:58 AM

How often do you judge people in your daily life? My guess is that if you really look closely, you would have to say “a lot.” Some of us don’t even realize how often weJudgment judge others or even ourselves. Almost every moment is consumed with it. We are so convinced that we are separate from everyone else and because of it, we adopt judgment as a means to make ourselves right. When someone does something differently from us, we tend to judge it as wrong because otherwise we think it makes us wrong. None of that is true however. We are not separate. We are all one. We are not wrong if someone else is right. There are many ways to accomplish one thing, and who is to say that your way is more right than someone else’s.

Judgment is one of the greatest problems in our world as far as I am concerned. And I am guilty of doing it too! It is not easy to avoid judging others and it is very difficult to not judge yourself. Our egos want us to judge because it keeps up the illusion of separateness, which is what the ego thrives on. The problem is that when you judge, you stifle growth. All we are here to do on this planet is to grow. This is an earth school. We are not here to be perfect. We are here to grow into the soul that we are. Why do we judge others and ourselves when we are not coming across as “perfect?” That only holds that person or yourself back from growing and being all that they can be.

The simplest judgment can have lasting effects on people. Don’t do it! When you find yourself judging others, tell yourself to be a bigger person and leave that person be. When you begin to judge others less, you will find that you begin to no longer fear others will judge you. And that sets you free as far as fear is concerned because when you no longer fear what others think, you will feel free to do what you want without the fear that is usually attached to it.

When "Doing" Isn't Working

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 8:22 PM

We tend to go through life doing, doing, doing. We go to work, we run errands, we host holiday parties, we do house work and yard work. We do so much that who we are ends up becoming what we do in our minds. If I were to ask you who you are, you would most likely answer that you are a mother, a husband, a sales associate, etc. But that is not who you are! That is what you do. Those are only roles that youIn The Moment play.

Learn to be more focused on being instead of doing. We do do, do but we forget to be. I find that even when we read self-help books and listen to motivational CD’s, we read and we listen, but we don’t really experience them for ourselves. We don’t give them time to become part of us before moving onto the next thing.

When you focus on being, you will see life from an entirely new perspective. You will view life through the eyes of your soul, not just through your personality. Suddenly, the world become a different place. You are no longer wrapped up in the illusion constructed by the egoic mind, but are instead awakened and experiencing the beauty of life. Things will flow easier for you because you will be more in touch with your true self, since being naturally draws out your soul identity instead of your ego identity.

Focus on doing tasks with more mindfulness. We can't get away from the many things we have to do, but we can change the way we do them. Add more "being" into them and life becomes more enjoyable.

Also learn to think of yourself in terms of who you really are, not what you do. Your soul will thank you for it!

Could Balance Be A Myth?

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008 1:07 PM

Nowadays, people are constantly trying to balance their life. Look around you –Balancethere are articles, books, talk shows, and news stories about achievingbalance constantly. Has anyone stopped to consider that balance is justnot possible? That is why we call it balance in the first place. Lifeis a constant balancing act. Your life will tilt to one side and thensway to the other, it will teeter on top for a bit and then lean to oneside or the other again.

There is no such thing as balance. Our lives are in constant motion and we constantly need to move withlife. We need to stop the obsession with trying to get in perfectbalance and then being upset when it feels a little off. News flash:life will always be a balancing act. All we need to do is notice whenwe are out of balance, or out of alignment, and just get ourselves asclose to center as possible again.

We don’t have to beatourselves up because we fell out of balance again. We don’t need tocontinue longing for a perfectly balanced life. It won’t happen! Wedon’t live in a balanced world. We live in a constantly changing andevolving world – and thank God! If we were in constant balance, therewould be no room for growth. We stumble and fall so that we can grow,so we will always fall down on the balance scale and then hopefully, wewill get back up, and then things will be great until we fall again.

Falls don’t have to be detrimental. Falls are just steps in our path ofgrowth. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Don’t worry if your life feelsout of balance 99% percent of the time. Just flow with it! Notice whenyou are out of alignment, and do what you need to do to get as close tobeing in alignment as possible.

Stress Relief Is All Around You!

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 9:06 PM

Do you take some time each day to “stop and smell the roses” as they say? In this hurried world we live in, we rarely take the time to look at the beauty that surrounds us. This affects us and leads to more stress in our lives. Noticing the beauty around us has a calming effect on us, therefore it is a natural stress release. When we go through our days hurrying from one activity to the next, never stopping to have those calming moments, the stress just builds up until we want to pop. So it is necessary to add in these calming moments throughout your day in order to break up the stresses. It helps to neutralize them.

All this means is that as you are walking to your car, you take notice of the gentle breeze on your face and you hear the beautiful song coming from the birds up the trees. When you are working on your computer, you stop for a brief moment and you feel the warm sun shining in through the window. When you are doing yard work, you feel the earth energy and really experience the beauty in the flowers and trees. It’s about becoming mindful as you go through your day. Don’t just do each activity without noticing all the wonder that surrounds you.

When you begin to add this mindfulness into your life, you will naturally feel calmer, as I mentioned before. You will also begin to see the oneness of everything, and you will know that everything is interconnected. We come to this earth and we forget that we are connected to everything that exists. This is because everything, and I mean everything, is made up of energy. We are made of energy. The computer you are looking at is made of energy. The rocks on the ground are made of energy, as are the flowers, trees, the food you eat, the books you read, the oven, the table, the grass, the driveway, even your thoughts, your words, your feelings, and your actions all carry an energy. I could go on and on because literally everything is made up of energy. Therefore, we are all united by that fact.

The beauty of oneness is that you are not alone. When you can really grasp this point, you will notice things flowing more easily in your life because you will begin to allow the energy of the Universe to help you through life.

This is a small sampling of one of the components in my Get In The Flow program called "Get Awareness." If you want to learn to say good-bye to stress and flow with life, this program will help you do just that. Come to one of my FREE teleclasses for an introductory course. Can You Release Weight With The Law of Attraction?

Sunday, March 9th, 2008 9:56 PM

Are you sick of diets? Have you noticed that diets don't work? That's because theLose Weight emotions that are created by having to be on a diet are in opposition to the way you need to feel to lose weight. Think of the word diet for a minute. How does it make you feel? If you are like most people, it conjures up all kinds of negative emotions like "I'll be deprived," "I won't get to eat the foods I love," "It will be hard," "I will be hungry," and the list goes on. If you think about the law of attraction, and the fact that like attracts like, how could those thoughts bring anything positive to you like losing weight?

When you go on a typical diet, you usually are depriving yourself of the foods you love, and you usually feel hungry because you can't eat as much. What happens is that we can only deprive ourselves for so long until we cave in, and then we end up binging.

But losing weight doesn't have to be this difficult, and it doesn't have to involve depriving yourself. You can learn to use the law of attraction to release weight in an easy and fun way! It all starts with making the decision to be healthy instead of making the decision to go on a diet. Someone who is healthy does not sit on the coach eating potato chips all might long, because that behavior is incongruent with being healthy.

Next, you use positive affirmations and thoughts that will support the changes you are trying to make. You want to conjure up feelings that are positive, instead of the negative feelings that go along with being on a diet. Remember: if you are feeling badly at any given moment, you are attracting negative things to you. The minute you feel any negative emotions, you want to do whatever you can to change that feeling.

To help you put these strategies into practice, I have designed a teleclass called Release Weight With The Law Of Attraction and it's FREE! I want you to find an easier way to losing weight so I am holding these teleclasses every week. Go to www.FaithsTeleclasses.com to sign up and view the upcoming schedule of classes . I hope to connect with you there!

Release The Question "How?"

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008 2:48 AM

One thing that we all get caught up in is in the “how.” How are we going toGot It! accomplish that goal? How can we possibly change our situation, which feels so hopeless?

I would like to challenge you to release the “how.” When you are worried about the “how,” changing your life will be difficult and overwhelming. Keep your focus on the "why." Why do you want what you want?

By keeping your focus on the "why," you tap into the positive energies and you will feel uplifted and excited. You don't have to know how it will all play out. Just focus on why you want your goal and how you will feel when you achieve it. Then, be open and allow the Universe to bring to you what you need to transform your life.

It will happen when you let the “how” go and consciously be aware of new insights, “coincidences” and opportunities that present themselves to you. As you do that, you will know intuitively how to proceed and you won't be crippled with fear. That is how you stay in the flow so that you can transform your life with ease and joy, and it will be so fun to see how the journey unfolds.

The Law of Attraction Isn't Enough

Sunday, January 27th, 2008 8:47 PM

There is so much buzz nowadays about the law of attraction, but I know that most people still struggle to use this law to create positive results in their lives. The reason for this is because the law of attraction isn’t enough. What most people don’t know about is the law of resonance, and that is where the real power is.

The law of resonance is all about how you feel. You cannot think positive thoughts, happiness and then still feel like you have lack if you want to manifest. You must feel like you have what you want now! What you feel is what you will manifest more of. If you want to manifest more money but you feel like you are broke, it’ll be very difficult, if not impossible, to manifest more money.

And that is what most of us do. We have a longing for things to be different in our lives, and while that is good because it pushes us to strive for more, it also hinders us. The longing is the problem. The key is to remove the longing by focusing on the present moment and feel in the now as though you have what you want.

Begin to vision the outcome you want to achieve, but it can’t be an empty vision where you just see yourself getting it. It must be rich with feeling. Make it as vivid as possible. Get your 5 senses fully involved. What do you see in your vision? Enhance what you see by adding vivid colors and textures. What do you hear in your vision? What can you smell or taste. And what do you feel emotionally. What do you feel in your body?

Create the vision as if you are experiencing it now and really FEEL it in every possible way. Then replay that vision as often as possible and keep that feeling first and foremost in your mind.

Stop focusing on how happy you will be WHEN you achieve it. Feel that happiness now! That is how you bring it into being.

Keep checking in with my website because I will be adding many tools and products that will assist you with this. This alone is the most powerful thing out there for living a happy life and getting what you want, and I want to help you with it! I will be offering many free resources to help you in your journey through my newsletter so go to my website and sign up today to make sure you don’t miss any of it (www.lifecoachfaith.com/free-stuff) .

There Is Nothing But Now!

Sunday, January 20th, 2008 4:18 AM

Right now, what is going through your mind? Are you thinking about things youJourney need to get done? Maybe you are thinking about things that happened in the past. When you think about achieving your dreams, is it only the outcome you think about?

I just watched a life-changing movie called "Peaceful Warrior." It has left me with such a strong and inspirational message to live my life in the now. What is there at this moment besides now? Who are you except this moment? There is nothing really except the present.

Life is about the journey! Don't be so stuck in the outcome because when you do, you miss out on true happiness. The anticipation of the outcome - that is where real life is. When you do achieve your dream, then what? Most of us assume that once we cross that mile-marker, we will finally be happy. But trust me, if you aren't happy on the way to your dream, you won't be happy when you get there either. True happiness comes from within. It comes from being conscious of the moment.

Of course we should have dreams. Our dreams express our authenticity and our purpose, and they give us something really exciting to live for. But remember to enjoy the journey of life. Don't be so hung up on getting to the finish line that you miss the journey of getting there. Remember to be here fully in the now. Then, you will find true happiness.

Discover & Live Your Essence

Saturday, January 12th, 2008 10:13 PM

Do you really know who you are? Until you get clear on who you really are at a core level, you will not be able to even recognize your purpose. It will be an illusion to you. You will wonder, why am I here? Is this life and this job all there is? But when you spend some time getting to know yourself, you will be opened up to a whole new world. You will see the world in a whole new light because you will be looking at it through the eyes of your soul, not just through your personality. Our personalities are so limiting because they know nothing outside of our five senses and the reality that we see around us. When we tune into our soul, we see so much more than what we can see, hear, touch, smell and taste. We are opened up to the universal truths. They are within us – we just need to slow the mind chatter and chaos of life enough so that we can experience them. And once we open ourselves up, we will be able to find our true essence.

Your essence is your life purpose; the inner calling that keeps prodding you to listen. It is what you want to feel in your life. It is the overall experience you want to have when you look back on your life. It is the destiny of your soul, the reason you are here on this earth in this lifetime.

Your essence cannot be ignored. It will continue to make itself known to you if you are not expressing it. When you do or say something that just doesn’t feel right, that is your soul telling you that you have stepped away from your essence. If you have a feeling of unhappiness or if you feel like something just isn’t quite right, it is because you are not aligned with your essence.

If you continue to neglect your essence, you will forever be searching for happiness. It will always feel like it is out of reach. You won’t feel fulfilled by your job, your relationships, your home and your life in general. You will feel like there is something more out there. You will have a longing sensation for things to change.

I know that it is hard to find the time to sit quietly and get to know yourself, but believe me when I tell you that you will never feel fulfilled until you do. My suggestion is to do whatever you need to do. Rearrange your life in whatever ways you can and find the time. Make it a priority so that you can experience happiness. Your soul will thank you for it and it will bless you in so many ways.

Will You Let Fear Define You?

Saturday, January 5th, 2008 8:47 PM

Do you have an inner calling to do something out of your comfort zone? Do you tell yourself not to bother because its too scary to make the changes? Is fear getting in your way? Most of us will answer yes to that question because we all have fears that are holding us back from being who we really want to be.

But let me ask you, how does it feel to let that fear define who you are? In order to be fulfilled, we all have fears that we need to push through. Think about all of the great inspirational stories you hear about people transforming their lives. It always involves working through their fears, and that is what makes the story so great and so inspirational. Without the fear, it would be a dull and boring story.

Do you want your life to be a dull and boring story? Do you want to sit by watching your dreams pass you by because you don’t want to face your fears? I doubt it! You can transform your life simply by deciding that your fears don’t define you; they only hold you back from being you. Decide that your dreams will define you instead! Be willing to step out of your comfort zone and face your fears. That is when you will feel alive and that is when your life will be an exciting, inspirational journey.

Do you need a partner to help you work through your fears? You never have to do it on your own - call or email me today for a risk free life coaching session, so that you can start living the life you crave.

Stand in Your Power

Monday, December 24th, 2007 4:13 AM

It’s amazing how easily we give up our power. What do I mean by that? So many components are combined into the term power in my opinion. Power encompasses our belief in ourselves, our willingness to overcome our fears, our ability to live our lives from our purpose, and to make decisions based on our life purpose and what feels true to our heart. These things are not easy to accomplish and that is what makes them powerful.

Too often, we settle for a life that doesn’t suit our real needs. We may have all of the luxuries of what society tells us make up a good life - like a nice house and car, a “good” job, etc - but if it doesn’t fulfill us, we aren’t living from our power. When we embrace our power, we are able to stand up and say “Wait a minute! This in’t what I want and I am willing to do what it takes to feel fulfilled.”

Take a minute and ask yourself if you are acting from your power. Can you feel that spark inside of you, ignited and passionate? Do you feel an overall sense of fulfillment? Or does it feel like there is something missing? Do you sense an inner plea for something to be different?

Once you have identified what is not working in your life, you have entered a state of awareness that you may or may not have had before. If that awareness wasn’t there before, now you can begin to tap into your power to create a life that allows you to fulfill your life purpose.

If that awareness was there before you did this exercise, then what is holding you back? Is it fear? Overwhelm? Do you not believe it is possible for you? Does it feel easier to just chug along as you are? Begin to visualize what your life could be like if you were fulfilling your purpose. Really get into the feelings of what that would be like for you and allow yourself to get lost in that vision.

Now, make a commitment to take small steps toward the destination of that vision. Commit to yourself that you will give yourself the gift of discovering all you can be. Why else are we here really?

Finally Change Your Life This Year!

Monday, December 24th, 2007 4:03 AM

With the New Year approaching, you might be thinking about what you would like to change about your life this year. Maybe you have decided to set some New Year’s resolutions or maybe you decided to scratch that idea this year because you are just too sick of making those resolutions and never seeing them happen. Well in either case, here is an outline you can use to help you make these changes stick so that you can have the best year ever!

1) Reflect on the year 2007 and make some notes about what you did well and what you would like to change. By noting what you did well, you will be able to use that as fuel to help you achieve what you want to change. Think about how you accomplished those things so well. What special skills do you have that made it possible? What pushed you to make it happen? Use all of that power to create the same results with the new changes you want to make.

2) Now that you have made a list of the things you would like to change, reflect upon what you wrote and ask yourself whether you REALLY want it or not. Ask yourself what you hope to feel or experience in your life. What is the essence you would like your life to encapsulate? Then, look back at the possible changes you wrote down and ask yourself if those changes really fit in with your essence. Is that goal in line with the REAL things you want in life? If it is, are you willing to do the work to make that change happen? If you aren’t, then the chances of you achieving it are slim.

3) If you answered yes and you feel passionate about making that change, then you need to commit to envisioning it everyday. When you think about the essence of what that goal will give you, how do you feel? Create a vision in your mind of you accomplishing your goal. How does it feel, look, sound, taste, smell? Get your senses involved so that it becomes more and more real to you. The more you play that vision in your head, the more real it will feel to you and the easier it will be to achieve.

To learn more about these steps and to discover the additional 5 steps in this process, you can download my free report titled “7 Strategies to Change Your Life This Year” at www.changeyourlifethisyear.com. It is my gift to you for the New Year. I hope you will use it to realize your dreams and finally change your life for the better in 2008!

Propelling Yourself Into Action

Friday, September 7th, 2007 4:06 PM

If you are like me, I am sure there are days when you just can't get yourself motivated. This often happens to me when I am feeling overwhelmed, fatigued, or just "not in the mood" to do what I need to do. Here are some tips I use to get myself motivated. Maybe they will help you as well.

1) If a feeling of overwhelm is what is causing the paralysis, the best thing you can do it have a dumping session. Sit down and write a list of everything you need to get done, everything that is currently floating around in your head causing you to not act on any of it. Make your list in sections: personal tasks could be one category, like sending your mother a birthday card. You might have a marketing section if you are a business owner, and so on. Put as much on the list as you can think of. The idea is to remove it from your head so that the paper can remember it all for you. It also helps to see it all on paper in one place. What you can do after your list is complete is highlight what you plan on accomplishing today, this week, next week, etc. You can use a different color highlighter for each time frame. What you have now accomplished is you have dumped all of this from your mind - you should feel lighter. You have also come up with an organized plan of when you will accomplish each task, so you should feel less overwhelmed and able to move forward.

2)  If you are feeling fatigued and/or not in the mood to do what you need to do, try this: commit to doing the task for 10 minutes. Anyone can live through 10 minutes of something they don't want to do. What happens when I do this is I often end up continuing with the task for much longer than 10 minutes. I get involved and realize that it's not so bad. I have noticed that if I push through the fatigue, I often get that second wind, whereas if I sit around lethargically, I usually feel even more tired.

What can you do if none of this works? Well, it might be that you just need a break and that you should allow yourself some self care time. Give yourself a time limit dependent on how overworked you are and how much of a break you deserve. If you decide that an hour is adequate, then take an hour, and do something you enjoy without regret. Doing so without regret is the key here. If you assess the situation and decide you need the time to recharge, then decide to give yourself that time joyfully. Then, once the hour is up, commit to getting back to work. By then, you will most likely feel recharged and ready to move forward.

Make Transformations, Not Changes.

Monday, July 30th, 2007 6:13 PM

Most of us fear change, so we stick with our current situations even when we wish things could be different. We want things to change, but we don't want to have to go through what is necessary to make the change.

Perhaps a better way to think about this is to commit to making transformations in your life, instead of changes.

Websters II New College Dictionary defines change as "to make different; to lay aside, abandon, or leave for another." Transformation is defined as "to change the nature, function or condition of." Transformation entails so much more than just making a change. It creates a positive twist on a normally negative action. To transform is to convert the state of the situation into one of new possibility. It creates a new, vibrant energy where our energy was once being drained. To transform is to bring into light and reality the thing we desire.

If we can hold this intention of transformation, we will find passion for "changing" the things in our lives that we are unhappy with. Transformation enlists excitement. To transform your career into one that brings you joy, for example, is exciting, while on the other hand, thinking about changing your job is scary.

See if you can banish the word "change" from your vocabulary and use the word "transform" instead. Notice the shift in your mind, body and soul when you use this new word. Even saying you are going to go "change your clothes" can take on a new perspective. Instead feel what happens when you say, I'm going to go upstairs and be transformed." Doesn't that feel refreshing?

Learn to use the power of your words to your advantage. Words can drag us down or they can uplift us. Which do you choose for yourself?

Tips For Attracting More Money Into Your Life

Saturday, July 28th, 2007 5:15 AM

I'm sure you have heard about "The Secret" and all the buzz around the law of attraction lately. The law of attraction is the most powerful law in our Universe, and most of us live our lives unaware that it is effecting us even in our ignorance of it. One of the most powerful things you can do to change your life for the positive is to use the law of attraction to your advantage, instead of by default.  Here are some quick tips to help you do so:

1)   Start a "Daily Spending Journal."  This is an imaginary spending log because you are not going to log the money you actually spend, but instead are going to log what you would like to spend. Start with $100.00 the first day and "spend" it on something that excites you. The next day, increase it to $200.00, and continue to do that until you get to $1000.00. At that point, increase the amount each day by an additional $1000.00. At the end of 30 days, you should be "spending" $21,000.00. Make sure you "spend" the money each day (don't save it up), and really feel the excitement as you do so. This is a powerful technique because according to the law of attraction, what you focus on is what you get, especially when you add positive feelings to that focus.

2)   Keep track of any extra money that comes your way, whether it be a penny you find on the street or a $100.00 unexpected check. The more we put our awareness toward "finding" money, the more we use the law of attraction to our advantage because we are now focusing on finding money rather than focusing on the lack of it. Remember to thank the Universe for sending the money to you as you receive it.

Have fun with these exercises and watch as you attract more wealth into your life!

Live Your Life on Conscious Intention

Saturday, July 28th, 2007 5:14 AM

There are two ways you can live your life: by default or on conscious intention. Most of us live our lives by default, meaning we feel that things just happen to us and so we don't decide what we want our daily experiences to be beforehand. When we live on conscious intention, we set an intention before we do something in order to set forth the outcome we want. We are creators and we are here to create our experience.

Try something today - make a commitment to yourself that you will set an intention before each segment of your day. For example, when you get in the car, set the intention that you will arrive at your destination safely and your travel experience will be free from frustration. Then as you arrive at your destination (lets say it is your job), set the intention that you will have a productive day and that any problems that come up will be easily dealt with. Continue to do this before each new segment of your day.

The power of this is that you will be using the law of attraction to your advantage. The law of attraction is working whether you realize it or not, so you may as well create your experience consciously rather than by default. This practice also helps to keep you focused on what you really want rather than just reacting to what comes your way.

Bringing Mind, Body & Soul Into Balance

Saturday, July 28th, 2007 5:13 AM

Are you suffering from overwhelm and feeling out of balance? In this era that we live in, there is no time to slow down. We are consumed with work and when we aren't working at our jobs, there are always chores and errands to be done. How in the world can we achieve balance in this crazy life?

Let's look at balancing your mind, body and soul so that you can lead a more holistically balanced life. When we live from this state of wholeness, we live from our purpose, learn to access our personal power, and create and achieve goals that are in alignment with who we are. From that place, we will feel at peace with our complete being.

Right now, what part of your being are you hanging out to dry? Are you using your mind too much and not taking enough time to nurture and develop your body and soul, for example? Choose three things that you can do to nurture your mind, body and soul this week (one thing you can do for your mind, one for your body and one for your soul). Take baby steps. Too often, when we do strive to balance out our life, we make our lives more complicated by adding too much to our already busy schedules. Then we fall back into our old patterns because we overwhlem ourselves even more than normal. Keep it simple.

Let's look at your body: Can you make a promise to yourself that you will get 8 hours of sleep each night this week? Or maybe you'd like to focus on eating healthy and natural foods. Maybe you'd like to comit to exercising 3 times this week. Choose one thing to change, and as you do it, instead of thinking about what you "should" be doing, or what you'd rather do, focus on the fact that you are giving your body a gift, that you are finally caring for your body which does so much for you everyday. Give your body thanks for all of the hard work it endures.

Let's look now at your soul: Maybe you'd like to explore ways that you can be true to your authentic self this week. Or you could focus on enlisting your five senses in everything you do so that you experience everything more fully. Maybe you want to read a spiritual book or listen to some music that brings you closer to your soul. You might even like to meet up with your soul in meditation.

How about your mind: Can you commit to changing your negative self-talk into positive self-talk this week? Maybe you want to focus on using the law of attraction to your advantage? Would you like to write a list of life goals? Maybe you have been putting off learning a new skill. You could take some time this week to study that skill.

Make some small steps each week to bring you closer to your whole self. When you do, you will feel uplifted and alive! Even if you can only do one thing, do that at least and continue to do so each week.
