HK for mypopia
Thursday, April 26th, 2007 5:52 PM
It's now three weeks since my last HK session. I feel so much calmer and happier in my eyes, even as everything else around me is chaos!! I feel like I'm actually involved in the world around me, I truly want to see!!
I've bought a new book called 'The Power Behind your Eyes' by Robert-Michael Kaplan. Anyone interested in natural vision improvement NEEDS THIS BOOK!!! It goes so much further than the Bates method IMHO, and I'm getting so much out of it. One of the first things I did was change my prescription to 80% strength. I got some new glasses from glasses direct (an online company - don't try this at home kids if your prescription is complicated!) which are ace, I'll put a link to the company on the forum.
The notion that we need the blur to see properly was bizarre to me at first, but now that I have my new specs I see what he means (ha ha).
It's that little bit of fuzziness in the distance which makes the eyes work at seeing, and yet they feel more relaxed and happy than when I'm wearing full strength specs, amazing!
I'm seeing Ben for the final session next week....
Stay well!

HK for Myopia, continued..

Oh blimey, I'm seeing Ben again in two weeks and I haven't updated my blog yes, so here goes.
My last HK session was at the end of Feb. More detox-type work and some groovy stuff where I had a coloured filter over my eyes, so everything looked blue. I found that relaxing. Some of the other stuff was stressful, and it's always worth remembering, if you're planning some HK, that the work is designed to help undo the stresses to the system that cause disease (dis-ease). This means that to rebalance the body, we have to recreate the stress and then 'retune' the body in the face of it. Once it's done, the stress is permanently removed and we can shift to a much healthier point of balance, clearing physical symptoms (in my case, the shortsightedness) in the process. I sometimes forget, though, that to recreate any stress is STRESSFUL! It's lucky that Ben is a very caring and capable practitioner, since I found the whole session a bit traumatic and not very comfortable. Still, I've done it and I'm proud of myself.
Remember folks, whether you experience it or bury it, that stress is in there. better out than in, I say!!!
Went to opticians at the start of March - .25 improvement in vision in one eye - well, it's a start!!
Stay well,

Correcting my Myopia with HK
Friday, February 9th, 2007 8:50 PM
I'm starting a course of HK sessions with Ben, in town, to correct my vision naturally - I've been severely myopic for about 20 years. I want to chart my progress, so that others can see what goes on in a Health Kinesiology session, and see how I fare with it..!
The first session was great; I had corrections done which involve creating a feeling eg: "knowing I can see what I want to see" in the body, as thought it were real and current. This is a powerfully detoxifying correction which opens up blocked receptor sites in the cells. I felt quite joyous when these were done and saw lots of colours, which I don't usually tend to.
Next we did corrections on my eyes, where stress has built up along the nerve pathways carrying the signals to my brain about what I'm looking at. In the second item of the group I had to look to my right. I couldn't do it! I felt scared, shaky and upset - bizarre! Afterwards I was trembling and quite emotional (Ben wouldn't let me go home until I felt okay again!)
I found it really fascinating and I'm so pleased to have made a start with this project, I've wanted to do it since reading about the Bates method. I'm going back in about 2 weeks, so I'll keep you posted.
Lots of love
Anna x
