Top tips for an Eco-Friendly Valentines Day
Love not only the people in your life, but also Mother Earth because celebrating Valentine’s Day can use a huge amount of the earth’s resources from trees that are being cut down for cards, carbon emissions for transportation to pesticide laden roses.

New tests reveal many pesticides block male hormones

3

If you eat grapes, strawberries and other non-organic vegetables and fruit you may be shocked to find out that many agricultural pesticides – including some previously untested and commonly found in food – disrupt male hormones.  This is according to new tests conducted by British scientists.
The researchers strongly recommended that all pesticides in use today be screened to check if they block testosterone, which is critical to men’s and boys’ reproductive health.  Scientists at the University of London have tested and …

If everyone took this simple step…

1

I wanted to tell you about a gift I received. It’s maybe the greenest present I’ve ever been given, so I thought I would let you know.
There are numerous ways to offset your carbon footprint, but none perhaps quite so simple as growing a tree. The eco gift I’m talking about is a pack, available at  Holistic World, from which I can grow my own silver birch. It has 100% compostable packaging and contains everything you need to start a silver birch tree off on your …

Hands up for hand-made

1

With my two kids struck down recently by the latest D & V virus, I’ve washed my hands so much, I might as well have walked round with a marmalade-jar full of soapy water jammed onto each one.

Small Change. Big Impact.

0

We’ve all done it. Even though we have good intentions, we get to the checkout and realise we forgot to bring some bags to pack our purchases in. Even though there are cupboards and drawers full of the things at home. It’s annoying and it’s such a waste.
All of the plastic that has ever been manufactured is still with us. Even when plastic bags break down in landfill, they never completely go away. The remaining dangerous and toxic particles can still …

The Book of Rubbish Ideas is anything but. It is FULL of excellent tips to help eco-newbies and hard-core Greens see rubbish as a resource, cut down on waste, and save time, money and resources as a result.

100 reasons why climate change is natural

0

The Daily Express is certainly not one of my favourite newspapers but I have to applaud them for being one of the few mainstream newspapers to start taking an anti-AGW stance.
Today they are printing an article called Climate Change is Natural – 100 Reasons Why which you can read here
Here’s a few of my favourites:
- Man-made carbon dioxide emissions throughout human history constitute less than 0.00022 percent of the total naturally emitted from the mantle of the earth during geological …

Copenhagen and Global Warming: Ten Facts and Ten Myths on Climate Change

2

It looks like my first article on Global Warming has already caused a bit of a stir. One guy is so convinced that global warning is a reality that anyone who disagrees must be insane. So much for intelligent debate! I plan to write more on this subject when time allows, but for now here is a short and to the point article that clearly shows that the science of global warming is anything but settled.

Is The Global Warming ‘Crisis’ a Giant Money Making Scam?

18

As you’re probably aware most of the world’s leaders are currently gathered together in Copenhagen to try and agree on how we’re going to solve the alleged global warming crisis and reduce CO2 emissions over the coming years. On the surface this sounds like a really positive development that should be welcomed by one and all; however, if you dig a little deeper, you’ll discover that all that glitters is not gold!
